I have always wanted to have a medieval wedding theme - why not? It is such a different concept to most weddings you see these days. The bridal party would all be in elegant medieval dresses, my medieval wedding dress would be out of this world, all long and floaty.
I'd like the men in battle dress, if it was a partiularly hot day, it could be quite amusing to have the best man in a suit of armour.
For the meal we would all sit round a massive 'old world' wooden table. We would all eat chunks of meat and vegetables with our hands, gone with the usual elegance of the wedding meal.
As red wine is my favourite tipple, I would insist all guests supped generously out of chunky goblets. Everyone would be allowed to burp loudly as sign of enjoyment. My medieval wedding dress would be pale blue and pale yellow in colour. It would be long and floaty. To top my medieval wedding dress off I would be wearing a medieval headress with white floaty lace. There would be no signs of any flashy wedding tiara bling.
I have not yet decided on my wedding table centerpieces - possibly, the head of a boar - I am picturing the old medieval films and unfortunately this is all I can see on the table.
The point is anyone can have the wedding they dream of. It's simple, throw a few ideas around, write them down and then start the planning. Everything will just fall into place.

It is two years since I got married, I remember the weddings dresses search well. I trawled through the wedding shops trying on lots of weddings dresses and although I liked lots of them I didn't fall in love with any.
The problem was that I'd already seen a photo of my dream dress but I had not yet found it in the flesh. I had purchaseed a wedding magazine two days after I had got engaged and there it was - Alfred Angelo White wedding dress with an amazing claret corset and train. The price was amazingly reasonable as well, considering how amazing the dress was and the amount of detail in it. To cut a long story short, it was after trawling through 5 weddings dresses shops that I changed tactics and just started phoning all weddings dresses shops asking if they stocked my dress. It came in various colours so I was hopeful I would be able to get an idea of what it would look like, even if it was in blue.
Eventuall I found a small shop, 20 miles away and as if it was a sign, they stocked my dress, in my size and even in my chosen colours.
As soon as I tried it on I loved it. I had my bridesmaids choose their dress style and I chose the colour claret. From behind we were all in exactly the same colour, from the front I had an exquisite white dress. I was on a budget so I decided, after my bridesmaids had picked their Alfred Angelo dresses that I would purchase them online from America on a website - www.houseofbrides.com. It was a nervewracking few weeks, I had never made such a big online purchase before but true to the testomonials House of Brides were first class.
I had two dresses, I paid for faster delivery, top insurance and it cost me less than the price of one dress if I had bought it in the shop. Of course the dresses fitted because my bridesmaids had already tried the same style on in the UK.
I have a serious soft spot for Alfred Angelo dresses now I find them so dramatic. If you are searching for weddings dresses - check them out. Or if you fall in love with a dress in a magazine - do what I did and track it down!

The 12th of September would be exactly one year since Jane had swapped her chastity ring for an engagement ring, the 12th would also be the day she became Mrs Fellows.
John had given her the chastity ring 3 years ago, they knew they were meant to be together and both felt strongly about staying true to themselves until their wedding night. They knew they were going to be together forever so felt no need to rush things.
Jane was so excited when John proposed and she couldn't believe that in such a short time she was finally going to stand beside him before God and become his wife.
The wedding was planned down to the last details. Jane's search for a modest wedding dress had not been an easy one but the search had proved successful and her dream modest wedding dress was now hanging in her wardrobe awaiting Saturday's celebrations.
Jane had not realised how revealling most weddings dresses were these days. She didn't think of herself as a prude, she simply did not feel comfortable in a strapless dress which showed off her cleavage, dress after dress that she tried on did exactly this. Eventually she found her dream modest wedding dress - it had short sleeves, an elegant neckline, amazingly soft ivory material which led into a crystal encrusted train. Her handmade wedding tiara sparkled like diamonds.
Jane went to her jewelry box where she kept her treasured chastity ring. She was going to treasure these next few days in her parents house before she moved on to the next stage of her life as a wife, and one day hopefully a mother. That night she went to sleep dreaming of her modest wedding dress and how it made her feel like a princess. Only 3 more sleeps until she became Mrs Fellows.

Tina and Lara had been together for a few years, nearly 7 to be exact. Lara was always joking about getting married but Tina never really found the "joke" very funny because she was desperate to get married. She felt she had found her life partner and why should they miss out on the amazing journey of marriage just because they are a 'same sex' couple. Then miracles of miracles, England changes it's law which would mean that Tina's dream could possibly come true. There was only one obsticle - she hadn't asked Lara yet!
She chose a summers day, in the local park to pop the question. Of course, Lara said yes straight away.
They set the date 9 months ahead and began the planning. To be honest the planning stage was not all plain sailing. Two brides are most definately more complicated than one! Lara wanted a church wedding, where as Tina wanted anywhere at all other than a church. Eventually they compramised on a local hotel.
The next drama was the weddings dresses. Should they both wear weddings dresses or only one of them? If they both wore them should they select the same weddings dresses or each choose their own? Then there was the additional dilema of should they see each others weddings dresses or risk them clashing on the big day.
They decided to follow their hearts, both brides wanted a dress, they wanted to keep the element of surprise, so they shopped separately for the weddings dresses.
The months flew in and the big day arrived in no time. Both brides arrived separately at the hotel, having stayed at their parents house the night before. Tina was first down the aisle on her fathers arm. He looked so proud and Tina looked amazing. Tina then had the nerve racking few minutes wait for Lara to arrive.
Lara arrived looking nervous. Her brother walked her down the aisle as her father sadly passed away a couple of years before.
It was amazing to the guests to see the happy brides and the way the weddings dresses complemented each other. Without consultation, both weddings dresses were white with a red train - they looked perfect.
Both brides later admitted that it was the most perfect day of their lives. They then sneaked away from the reception to begin their two week honeymoon in the maldives.

As well as weddings dresses a bride must choose her wedding favours. This can be a difficult decision, it is made doubly so by the amazing variety of wedding favors that are availble nowadays. One unique option is to buy personalized poker chips. You can have your names and dates added to the chips, you could even add a small picture if you wanted. These can then be kept by the relations as lucky chips, either to use in gaming or as a lucky trinket to keep in their purse.
Another option you could look at would be candles. Everyone loves candles so not only would your wedding favors be attractive, they would also prove to be useful to your guests. You could even get the color of the candle to match your weddings dresses. This example is approximately $3.
Many people link bells to weddings. You can hear the church bells chiming on your special day, bells also symbolise luck. Why not have wedding bell favours? Again, your guests can keep them as lucky charms. Many people love to use wedding favors as lucky charms as they symbolise such happiness for two of their friends or family. The following example is approximately $1.15, so they would fit into the tightest budget.
One of the most amazing wedding favours I have seen, my friend had them at her wedding last summer, is the Potpourri Invitation in a Bottle. Like the title suggests this can also be used as wedding invitations, you can have the secret message in the bottle personalized with your invitation details. These are more commonly used as wedding favours and I think you will have to agree, they are definately unique. Imagine if you had a beach wedding theme, so you have beach centerpieces on the table and then these amazing favours. What will surprise you even further is that they are less than $4!!
There are so many options out there to choose from. All I can suggest is that you keep looking until you find a favor that calls out to you. Your perfect favors are out there waiting to be found.
